Our Objective
FuturePlans

Bullock Recycling Services is working to establish the largest clean civil waste recycling centre in Tasmania, after identifying that large volumes of clean trenching waste were being generated and dumped to landfill.

Operation

The recycling activity will include:
– tracking, logging and weighing of clean waste sources and destinations
– use of three transfer yards, Mornington, Kingston and Derwent Park
– carting mixed clean waste to the Brighton recycling centre
– separating coarse rocks and slabs of concrete and bitumen
– screening remaining loose material to separate loam and clay from coarse waste
– crushing coarse fractions
– stockpiling all materials into segregated piles
– carting out reusable materials by truck or train
– reuse of materials as backfill into trenches and other civil excavations
– disposal of any remaining wastes, e.g. reinforcement rods, etc.
– no retail sales will occur on the premises

The centre is expected to produce construction materials and topsoil at a rate of 5000 tonnes per week.
